The Coalition of Canadian Healthcare Museums and Archives (CCHMA) is an inclusive association of both the institutions that preserve and present the history of healthcare in Canada and the individuals who support them. CCHMA was established at the Canadian Museums' Association (CMA) Conference in Toronto in 1999. It meets as a special interest group or network of the CMA at the annual meeting. Membership is open to all who share the Coalition's belief that museums and archives, by preserving the material culture and memories of our society, are able to provide understanding of the past, give perspective to the present and create expectations for the future. |
